AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – Law enforcement agencies in five countries have disrupted a transcontinental criminal network smuggling migrants from Cuba into the European Union, Europol and Interpol, who coordinated the international investigation, said on Monday, with the move leading to 62 arrests. Europol’s statement said the criminal network had focused on Cubans in vulnerable situations and that, for 9,000 euros ($9,969.30), it would organize their trip to Europe and provide false documents.
