BEIJING (Reuters) – U.S. climate envoy John Kerry arrived in China on Sunday to resume stalled talks between the world’s two biggest greenhouse gas emitters, state media reported. State broadcaster CCTV said upon Kerry’s arrival in Beijing, starting Monday, “China and the United States will have an in-depth exchange of views” on climate issues. Kerry’s trip to China, where he will meet his counterpart Xie Zhenhua, comes after weeks of record summer heat that scientists say has been exacerbated by climate change.
