Death Valley National Park, California: Death Valley National Park is not as attractive as it sounds. Even with already-soaring temperatures expected, which will likely top records amid a sweltering heat wave in the United States, tourists are arriving at this infamous desert landscape on the California-Nevada border. Earlier this week Daniel Yosihos snapped a photo of a famous thermometer outside the aptly named Furnace Creek Visitor Center after he challenged himself to run in the sweltering heat.
