JEDDAH: Ukrainian forces captured a highly strategic area around the restive eastern city of Bakhmut on Monday as they pushed ahead with a counter-offensive against the Russian invasion. Deputy Defense Minister Jana Malyar said Kiev forces had established fire control over the “enemy’s entrances, exits and movements around the city”. “During the advance, our forces took control of the main command heights around Bakhmut.”
