Washington: Another decision of former President Donald Trump has been withdrawn in the United States, the United States is likely to become a part of the United Nations organization UNESCO again.

The US is likely to announce its rejoining of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, UNESCO, which it left five years ago.

Former President Donald Trump decided in 2017 to withdraw the United States from the United Nations cultural organization on the grounds that it has a biased attitude against Israel.

The Trump administration made its pro-Israel stance clear at the time, and formally withdrew in 2018.

A US State Department spokesman says it has already sent a letter to UNESCO on June 8 informing it of the plan to rejoin.

US President Joe Biden’s administration, prioritizing international cooperation, has already rejoined a number of institutions that the US withdrew from under the Trump administration.
