Washington: Elon Musk has said that he saved Russia from a major attack by denying Ukraine permission to use a satellite.

Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla and the social networking site X (Twitter), said in a statement on X that the Starlane network near the Russian port was closed so that Ukraine could not attack Russia with the help of satellites.

Elon Musk further stated that there was no other option but to reject Ukraine’s request to use their Starlink satellite, as that would have committed SpaceX as a major act of war.

Elon Musk did not specify a date for Ukraine’s request, but the incident took place in 2022 when Ukraine attacked Russian coastal territory with the help of submarine drones.
