One of two missing Japanese climbers found dead in Pakistan – vopbuzz


NEW DELHI: One in two people is missing japanese climbers‘ was discovered on spantic mountain in the north Pakistan According to an official, the search for the second person continues on Saturday.
Ryuseki Hiraoka and Atsushi Taguchi were trying to climb the 7,027-meter (23,054 feet) peak of the Karakoram mountain range when they got lost earlier this week.
Veli Ullah Falahi, deputy commissioner of Shigar district, reported: ” body “The body of a Japanese climber has been found, the search for the second climber continues.”
The body was located 300 meters (984 feet) below Camp 3, which is located at an altitude of approximately 6,200 meters (20,341 feet) and served as the staging point for the final summit.“It is not clear whose body was found,” said Naiknam Karim, president of Adventure Tours Pakistan, the company that organized the expedition.
The search operation involves high-altitude climbers and experts supported by two Pakistan Army helicopters.
The two climbers reached base camp on June 3 and were attempting to climb without the help of porters. They were last seen on June 10, and climbers expecting to encounter them were alerted the next day. A military helicopter spotted the climbers on Thursday but had to suspend the search due to adverse weather conditions.
Spantik, also known as the Golden Peak, is considered a “relatively accessible and simple peak,” according to the website of Adventure Tours, a tourism company. Pakistan is home to five of the 14 mountains exceeding 8,000 meters in height, including K2, the world’s second highest peak. In 2013, government data showed that more than 8,900 foreign visitors traveled to the remote Gilgit-Baltistan region, where much of the Karakoram mountain range is located, and that the summer climbing season runs from early June to late August.
