Pyongyang: North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has banned suicide, calling it a social uprising.

According to foreign media reports, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has issued a secret order in which he banned suicide as a social rebellion.

The ban by North Korea’s leader comes after a rising suicide rate in the country.

In a secret decree, he urged the local authorities to take measures to prevent people from committing suicide.

According to the order, in case of suicide of a person, the local authorities will be held responsible and action will be taken against them.

A North Korean official said in this regard that the officials are unable to come up with a suitable solution. Most of the suicides are due to extreme poverty and starvation.
