Bhopal: A 12-year-old girl in India was left naked after being sexually assaulted and kept asking for help to cover her body, but no one opened the door.

According to Indian media, this heartbreaking incident took place in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The CCTV footage revealed the indifference of citizens who were not even willing to cover the body of a naked girl.

A 12-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain was left naked on the street after being sexually assaulted and knocked on every house for help, trying to hide her body with her hands.

In the CCTV footages, it can be seen that the door of a house is open and a man is also present, from whom the girl asks for help but he refuses, on which the girl keeps knocking on the doors of other houses.

Finally, the girl reached an ashram where the pandit covered her with a towel and on suspicion of rape, shifted her to the district hospital where the rape was confirmed.

Police say that the girl is not able to tell her name and address. She appears to be mentally challenged.

It should be remembered that in the Indian states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, 18 women are sexually assaulted every day, while the situation is not different in other states.
