‘Gita helped me on this journey’
Dr. Reva Gudi is a Hindu and finds the Gita to be a source of inspiration. “Politics is an unpredictable place with many ups and downs, where I deal with a variety of people and situations, often all at once. And I have found that the Bhagwad Gita’s message of dropping the ego — detachment — and service without any desire for the fruits of action has helped me navigate this journey and has often made it very enjoyable,” she said.
“As a Hindu woman, I sometimes face unique challenges. These include overcoming stereotypes and ensuring my voice is heard in a space that is largely dominated by men,” she said.
