Hyderabad: A man who leased mango plantations in India committed suicide due to loss in business.

The tragic incident took place on Monday in a village in Sangareddy district of the Indian state of Telangana, where 38-year-old Zafar was working on leased mango plantations since last year.

According to the villagers, Zafar took the mango orchards on lease that year as well but suffered huge losses as the business did not go as expected.

Zafar’s wife Shaheen Sultana said that her husband was very worried due to the heavy loss in the business.

The report said that Zafar committed suicide by hanging from a neem tree on the outskirts of the village on Monday.

Local sub-inspector Rajendra Reddy said that the police have registered a case and started investigation.
