The killer of student Naira Ashraf, who was killed in Egypt last year, has been sentenced to death in front of the “Go Kill” University.

According to foreign media, after the appeal was rejected by the prison authorities in Egypt, Muhammad Adel, the killer of Al-Mansoura University student Naira Ashraf, has been sentenced to death in front of the university’s arts in the same place where he killed the student last year.

The report states that the court rejected Mohammed Adel’s objections against the death penalty and the Egyptian Public Prosecution recorded 25 testimonies and presented them to the court in which students and university security guards as well as nearby shopkeepers testified. It was said that he had seen Mohammad Adil stabbed to death with a knife.

Neera Ashraf’s family and friends testified that Mohammad Adil had been threatening to harm the student before killing her. He was angry as to why Neera refused the marriage.

It was proved in the criminal court that Mohammad Adil killed the student as part of a deliberate plan after which the court pronounced its verdict.

Last year, a student of Al Mansoura University stabbed his classmate to death after she refused a marriage proposal. Eyewitnesses said that the accused was a third year student of art department. He attacked the student when she was walking towards the bus stop to go home. Before bystanders could stop him, he stabbed the boy deep in the throat.

However, the security personnel and passers-by caught the accused while trying to escape.

It should be noted that in the history of Egypt, no criminal case has been decided so quickly. Public prosecutor Hamada Al-Sawi filed the case of the female student’s murder in the criminal court 48 hours after the incident, and the case has become a topic of discussion on social media in Egypt and the Middle East.
