Imran Khan accuses Chief Justice of Pakistan of ‘bias’ against his party – vopbuzz

NEW DELHI: Imran Khan, founder Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) accused Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa of being biased against his party and urged the courts to expedite the hearings of his case.
From Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, Khan labeled the delays in court orders as unfair and stressed the need for timely trials.
He maintained that all the cases against him were false and baseless. Referring to CJP Isa’s statement, Khan stated, “There is no pressure on him, but there is pressure on those who refuse to bow to injustice.” [government’s] Team B against PTI.”
Khan highlighted unresolved issues regarding PTI’s election symbol: allegation of cheating during general elections and its status PTI’s petitionsHe stands by PTI’s claims that there is no level playing field.
He criticized the judiciary for what he perceived as forced decisions and called for: Supreme Court Judges need to emulate the attitude of supreme court justices in rejecting erroneous decisions.
Expressing his willingness to engage in dialogue, Khan made this conditional on the return of what he claimed was ‘stolen authority’ and the release of detained party workers. He emphasized that dialogue typically occurs with rivals and hinted at a potential negotiation with PTI’s perceived rivals.
Former PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry had suggested that Khan would effectively become Shehbaz Sharif if he reached an agreement with the organisation.
Chaudhry’s remarks emerged amid controversy over purported talks between PTI and the organization initiated by senior PTI leader Shehryar Afridi. PTI leader Shehryar Afridi said his party would “soon engage in dialogue with the chief of army staff (COAS) and director general of Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI)” instead of speaking to “rejected individuals” who reached parliament through Form. 47.
Chaudhry expressed doubts about the possibility of Khan reaching such an agreement, arguing that Shehbaz Sharif’s current threats come from external forces and not from his own party.
