In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, unknown suspects kidnapped a 4-year-old child, gouged out his eyes and burned him alive.

According to local media reports, a 4-year-old child was kidnapped from outside the house on Sunday evening. The parents searched for him everywhere but found no trace. Finally, a complaint was filed with the police.

The police recovered the body of a young child from a drain near the village on Monday morning. His body was completely burnt while his eyes were missing.

The shocking murder of the child spread panic among the residents of the area. Demanding strict action against the accused, the parents expressed fear that their son was sacrificed due to superstition.

The police registered a case and started investigating the incident. A police officer said that the body was shifted to a hospital for post-mortem.

Such incidents have become common in India.
