He has said that Lukashenka has known Wagner’s founding president for almost 20 years, and that the mediation proposal made by Lukashenka has been accepted by Putin, resolving the situation without causing casualties or escalating tensions. We are grateful to the President of Belarus for doing so.

Peskov has said that a compromise has been reached with Wagner over the return to the camps as a result. Certain units of the Wagner group are not involved in the counterinsurgency movement. They will be able to sign an agreement with the Ministry of Defense at will.
