A 6-year-old boy, trapped in a zoo cage with a hunter, was killed by a tiger.
A lion mauled a boy to death when he visited a private zoo with his family and got trapped in a cage with a poacher.
The local police force in the coastal Palestinian enclave of the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip confirmed the death of a six-year-old boy named Hamda Aqteit on Monday, May 1.
In the photos, the tiger can be seen mauling the boy, who is apparently trapped between the bars of the cage.
The footage shows the area where the boy went through the security fence, with blood stains visible on the bars of the cage.
The boy was walking through the security fence at the Asda Park Zoo in the southern Gaza town of Khan Yunis when he was attacked by a lion, police spokesman Colonel Ayman al-Batanji said.
But, the boy’s family said the boy, who was accompanied by his mother and other family members, had gone near an outer fence where the tiger was standing when it was attacked.
