Another video of harassment of a woman has come to light in the Indian state of Manipur, in which a woman is being harassed by an officer of the Border Security Force (BSF).

According to NDTV, a BSF head constable was seen on camera sexually assaulting a woman in a grocery store in the state of Manipur. The Border Security Force has suspended the head constable while a case has also been filed against him.

In the CCTV camera installed in the store, a man wearing a uniform and holding an assault rifle can be seen molesting a woman.

The person seen in the video was identified as Head Constable Satish Prasad.
A senior BSF officer told NDTV that the incident took place on July 20 in a store near a petrol pump in Imphal. The accused has been identified as Satish Prasad. He has been suspended from the job and a case has been registered against him.’
According to the BSF officer, the agency has initiated legal action against the accused.
“He has been detained at a secret location and the agency has started its investigation,” he said.
It should be noted that two women were allegedly gang-raped last week in Manipur’s Thoubal district.
The video of this incident deeply hurt public sentiments across India. Among the people involved in this incident, seven accused have been arrested, in which one accused is less than 18 years old.
In this regard, the senior officer said that the state police is making all possible efforts to arrest the other accused. In this regard, the search for the accused seen in the video is going on.
On the other hand, Manipur Police says that no FIR has been registered on sexual assault and no progress has been made in this case due to the absence of victims.
He further said that ‘we are also taking action against those who spread fake news.’

The reaction of the users on the social networking website Twitter is also being seen on the incident of harassment of the woman by the head constable of BSF.

The Twitter handle Rickles tweeted about it saying ‘Just got suspended? Even if we’ve seen it on camera?’

A handle called AM for Reason tweeted that ‘Society has been made like this by the government. There is no fear of the law.’

Ezra wrote in his tweet that ‘only suspension will not work. He should be fired. Poor man, from above it holds the post of Head Constable of BSF.’

Suspension alone won’t be enough, he must be sacked. Sick, to make matters worse, he holds the position of a BSF Head Constable.
