A 29-year-old data engineer from the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh was arrested by the Bangalore police for allegedly opening an emergency door during an international flight.
According to Hindustan Times, the incident took place during a flight from Paris to Bangalore on July 15 and the person concerned was arrested as soon as the flight landed in Bangalore.
According to the report, Venkat Mohit was coming from Paris to Bangalore on an Air France flight to meet his aunt.
He tried to open the emergency door during the flight, which is not used under normal conditions.
After arriving in Bangalore, an Air France employee complained to the airport authorities about Mohit, alleging that he had endangered the lives of passengers by trying to open the door.
Police arrested Venkat Mohit on July 16, but he is still out on bail.
According to the report, Mohit had tried to check some functions of the door which led to the unsafe movement.
Bangalore police registered an FIR against him after the complaint.
