Police in India’s capital, Delhi, have registered a case against a Nepalese national for abusing the crew and breaking the door of the latrine.
According to Indian news channel ‘NDTV’, this Air India plane had taken off from Toronto, Canada.
Crew supervisor Aditya Kumar said that the passenger named Mahesh Singh Pandit sat in seat 26F instead of 26E and started misbehaving with the economy class crew. The crew informed the pilot and gave a warning to the passenger.
Aditya Kumar said that later after eating, the smoke alarm went off and when he opened the door of the latrine, he saw a cigarette lighter in the passenger’s hand and smelled the smell of tobacco.
‘When I opened the door he pushed me and when I tried to stop him he pushed me further and abused me. Then he broke the door of the latrine. I told the pilot and the crew controlled it on his instructions.’
Aditya Kumar wrote in the FIR that the passenger was controlled with the help of 10 other passengers, but later the accused had a fight with the rest of the passengers and beat them up.
Delhi Police registered a case against this passenger at IGI Police Station.
