In Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, a man has built a ‘Taj Mahal’-like building in memory of his mother.
A businessman named Amaruddin Sheikh Dawood built a building that looked like the Taj Mahal in the Chennai area It is built in Thiruvarur and five crores of Indian rupees have been spent in making it.
According to Hindustan Times, when Amaruddin Sheikh was 11 years old, his father Abdul Qadir died, after which he was brought up by his mother Jilani Begum.
The report says that Amaruddin built this ‘Taj Mahal’ to pay homage to his mother.
The marble was procured from Rajasthan to build this Taj Mahal-like building and it took almost two years to complete.
According to Amaruddin, people of all religions can come to this small Taj Mahal to pay their respects to their mother.
Keep in mind that the original Taj Mahal is located in the city of Agra in Uttar Pradesh, which was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan after the death of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
