Jack Dorsey, co-founder and former head of the social networking site Twitter, has alleged that the Indian government pressured Twitter management to shut down accounts that provided information on farmers’ protests.
According to the Indian newspaper Hindustan Times, the ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is criticizing the former head of Twitter Jack Dorsey for his statement, while the opposition party Congress called it a sensational revelation.
Indian Minister for Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar has dismissed Jack Dorsey’s allegations as lies.

BJP Spokesperson Shehzad Poonewala criticized the Congress saying that Rahul Gandhi’s party finds its justification for its presence only in Jack Dorsey’s statements.
In an interview on Monday on the YouTube channel Breaking Points with Crystal & Sagar, Jack Dorsey alleged that the Indian government had pressured Twitter to close the company’s offices in India and lay off employees. Houses will be raided.
