The Miss World event scheduled for this year will now be held in India instead of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to Arab News, the Miss World 2023 event has now found a new host country.
Four months ago, Miss World organizers announced that the 2023 event would be held in the UAE, but now the pageant will be held in the new host country, India.

The announcement to host the Miss World event in India was made in New Delhi on Thursday in the presence of Miss World Organization Chairperson and Chief Executive Julia Morley, Miss World 2022 Karolina Belaska and Miss India World 2022 Sini Shetty.
The Miss World Organization wrote in its Instagram post that ‘the decision to award this prestigious honor to India has been made following the country’s rich cultural heritage, India’s commitment to promoting diverse cultures and empowering women.’
The 71st edition of Miss World is expected in November this year, but the final dates have not been announced yet.

Miss World 2022 Karolina Belaska says, ‘India’s hospitality is the best in the whole world. I have come here for the second time. I feel like I’m at home.’

India last hosted Miss World in 1996. In that event held in Bangalore, Erin Skliva from Greece won this beauty pageant.
On the other hand, six Indian women have achieved this honor so far, including Rita Faria in 1966, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 1994, Diana Hayden in 1997, Yukta Mukhi in 1999, Priyanka Chopra in 2000 and Manushi Chillar in 2017.
Last year, the Miss World pageant was held in Puerto Rico, where Poland’s Karolina Belaska defeated Miss America’s runner-up Shri Sena and Ivory Coast’s Olivia Yass.
