The spirit of the girl took flight during the Turkish Airlines flight to New York.

An 11-year-old girl traveling on a flight from Istanbul to New York died despite the efforts of doctors and emergency personnel at the airport.

According to Budapest Airport, the girl lost consciousness during the flight, after which the pilot was informed and the plane was diverted.

Turkish Airlines said in a statement that the cabin crew requested assistance from any doctors on board while the captain requested permission to land in Hungary.
