Moscow: Russian police are searching for a teenage girl who allegedly left her boyfriend alone at a restaurant after he asked to split the bill equally.

Paying the bill on a first date is always a point of contention as some believe that the boyfriend should pay the entire bill while others believe that going Dutch is the only way to go. Online platforms are full of endless debates on this topic but the police involvement in the matter has never happened except this time.

A 28-year-old man from the Russian capital Moscow has filed a complaint with the police against his girlfriend, who said he went on a date with her and after a meal, when he asked her to pay the bill. When asked to divide equally, she refused and went out.

The boy said the girl had ordered too much food, but when the bill came, she refused and walked out of the restaurant.
