While WhatsApp already offers the option to sign into one account on multiple devices, this new update will allow people to have multiple accounts in the same app and switch between them seamlessly. .

This feature was discovered by WABetaInfo, a popular WhatsApp feature tracker blog. Currently, the multi-account functionality is only visible on WhatsApp Business, but it is expected to be extended to other versions in the near future.

According to a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will introduce a dedicated menu that enables users to easily switch between different accounts.

However, several other social media applications, such as Instagram, Discord, and Telegram, already offer a similar feature.

Once a user logs into an additional account on their device, it will be stored in their account list until they choose to sign out of the list or remove the account.

This feature will be especially beneficial for those who want to keep their personal and professional WhatsApp accounts separate, even if they only have one device.

It is not clear how WhatsApp will distinguish between notifications received from multiple accounts. Maybe we’ll get a little label indicating which account the message is from, but that remains to be seen.
