Story previews are small rectangular tiles that appear on the app’s main screen in the Recent Stories section, allowing users to see a glimpse of content shared by accounts they follow. Unlike normal Instagram Stories, there is a preview tile with the user’s profile picture or avatar in the center and a colorful story ring around it. Some of the actual content within the story appears as thumbnails.

However, many users have reported that Instagram is no longer showing the story preview tile on their feed. As of now it looks like they have removed it. So, how do you see them now? Even if you no longer get story previews on Instagram, with a few solutions, you can still see what your friends and followers have uploaded without them knowing.

Method 1: View via partial swipe

Look, it’s a tricky process but it definitely works. The only downside is that you can only view the latest uploaded story or last unseen story through it, not the entire one. If it works well for you, follow the steps below:

1. open Instagram,

2. Now instead of the story you want to watch, tap on the next story and open it.

3. Press and hold the story and without releasing your finger, swipe slightly to the right of the screen.

4. Once you see a glimpse of the story you want to watch, swipe left again and release the finger.

Be careful if you don’t want the other person to know that you’ve viewed their story. You won’t be able to see the entire content, but only about half of it. Also, if it is a video story this method may not be very useful.

Method 2: Use the Blockade Tactic

This is a way to see all the latest stories uploaded by a person without them knowing. You can block the user and still view their story. You will not appear in their viewer list.

1. open Instagram And go to the profile of the user whose story you want to view.

2. Tap three vertical dots icon On the top right corner.
