California: Technology company Apple this week introduced the latest version of iOS 17.1.1 with several security updates including solutions to problems faced by iPhone users.

After the update, many users have claimed regarding the new version of iOS that the update is draining their device’s battery.

Apple released 17.1.1 this week to fix an issue with the iPhone 15 when using wireless charging in certain vehicles.

Apple said that in certain vehicles, iPhone 15 models may not be able to use Apple Pay and other NFC features after wireless charging.

The issue with the weather lock screen widget was also fixed in this new update.

While this update solved several problems faced by iPhone users, users have also piled up complaints about battery drain after the update.

A user on social networking platform X (formerly Twitter) said that the phone is heating up and draining battery after updating to iOS 17.1.1.

A user wrote that iOS 17.1.1 has a major battery leak. Battery went from 100% to 87% in a short time.

Another user said that the battery life of iOS 17.1.1 is terrible.
