According to a post on Workspace, the company has decided to retire the whiteboarding app Gemboard at the end of 2024.

Jamboard is a digital whiteboard service that allows for online collaboration with non-existent people.

According to Google, other whiteboard services like FigJam, Lucid Spark and Miro are working better for Workspace users. Google will now work with these companies to take the workspace services Google Meet, Drive and Calendar forward.

Along with killing the Jamboard app, Google is also ending support for its $5,000 55-inch device. Updates for this hardware have been stopped since September 30.
