Following in the footsteps of WhatsApp and Twitter, Instagram may introduce an option to disable seen status for direct messages.
The new feature was spotted by widely known leaker Alessandro Paluzzi.
According to their report, the option to ‘Disable Seen Status’ will be available in the Privacy and Safety section in Instagram Settings. It’ll be right below the Vanish Mode option.

Instagram It has taken a long time to introduce this feature as the DM section is not a priority for them as the app is not a messaging platform.
The new option will be useful for the users as it has already gained massive popularity on other platforms like WhatsApp.
