China’s internet giant Tencent Holdings said it will unveil an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot on Thursday, according to a social media post published on Wednesday.

The post showed a demo conversation a user had with an AI chatbot, which helped the user write promotional content.

This comes after China approved AI chatbots for public release last month. Other big tech companies in China including Baidu Inc and SenseTime Group Released Your AI Chatbot Last week.

Tencent has been developing its own AI model called “Huyuan” for months and the company said last month that it was extension of test model internally.

Reuters reported in February that the company has formed a team to develop a chatbot like chatgptAt that time it was named “Huyuande”.

Tencent shares were down about 1% on Wednesday, versus a 0.5% decline in the broader market.
