HomeTechnologyFour reasons why AI will never overtake humans

For those who fear that the rapid rise of artificial intelligence (AI) will one day eliminate all jobs and robots will be handing out charity to humans, I have a story to tell.

The period between the 1760s and 1820s was the most enlightened period in the modern world. It was the Industrial Revolution that reached as far as the West.

When new visionary industrialists began to move from human labor to mechanized production, a dramatic shift began to take place, and why wouldn’t they?

It was cost-effective, took less time, and finished goods were mass-produced.

Just as the factory and industrialization system was being admired by the elite, on the other side of the fence was a completely different ball game.

People were struggling to keep their jobs with these extraordinarily efficient machines and mechanical structures.

There were waves of panic in hard-hitting towns and cities with word that these machines would completely wipe out humans.

A massive series of protests were organized by labor unions and opposition parties as they termed them as the infamous offspring of Satan, sent to inflict punishment on innocent and innocent human beings.

Fast forward to today in this high-tech and unpredictable year of 2023, we are witnessing a similar situation.

As individuals get caught up in the distractions of the weather, this seemingly unstoppable army of AI tools will replace them.

We’ve found a whole bunch of open tools that have been reported to wreak havoc on the labor market with a $20-a-month subscription. Additionally, we have creative AI tools for videos, images and text that claim to produce faster and better results with just a tiny bit of input.

These tools learn and improve every year, allowing them to accomplish tasks they couldn’t before.

But you know what? Even with all the odds against humans, AI still won’t replace 100% of humans, let alone 60%.

Here’s why:

This is very common and will remain so.

Log into your LinkedIn app once and take a look at the lengthy statuses people are creating and you’ll notice one thing: they all seem pretty generic.

Many of them proudly claim that they are getting help from AI tools like Chat GPT. However, their posts and content seem very similar.

After some reading, it won’t be difficult to distinguish written consent from organic. No matter how much AI improves, it will still be easily recognizable and therefore quickly lose interest from its potential audience.

Organic material will be worth it.

French clothes, Italian cars, Swiss watches. Do you know what they have in common besides being luxury items?

3) It’s major part of their manufacturing is done by hand and not by machines.

The interior of the roll rice is made by hand. High quality footballs are handcrafted in Sialkot. Million dollar watches are designed and assembled by hand by horologist Maven. Likewise, man-made content will become highly valued and tolerated by some.

Human-generated or written content will be more valuable in the future as more and more people turn to AI for quick and easy solutions.

Creators brand themselves as organic rather than AI-aware.

Humans put more drama into their content.

It doesn’t matter how well an article is optimized in ChatGPT or how corrupt and creative an image is made by Midjourney. There will come a time when AI will lack creativity.

Why? Because it is feeding as much food as humans want to absorb.

Yes, it can be useful and solve your small problems quickly, but real live creatives will be the ones who take care of bigger goals.

The intensity of drama and emotion produced by human is still very much unmatched and what makes it completely unique compared to AI. And it’s very likely to stay that way.

AI will always lack wisdom.

AI can quote you the most inspiring quotes and fail them at the same time. No matter how AI evolves, it will always lack important features such as rational decision-making and understanding of right and wrong. This is something that only we humans can do.

One thing to note is that the AI is highly realistic and lacks empathy and real sense of being in someone’s shoes when making decisions.

If this happens, the world will be devoid of feelings and sound judgment. And you will only be promoted based on your registered points and not because of the time you did a complicated series project at home but forgot to check in.

We, humans, make mistakes and simultaneously go beyond our limits to achieve something. AI will never admit it, but a human will.

You want to know who AI will replace? Minor ones. They will be the ones to fall. So, here’s a quick suggestion: Be extraordinary.

That’s it for today.
