According to details, West Indies head coach Darren Sammy has severely criticized his team for poor fielding in the 35-run defeat against Zimbabwe in Harare.

Addressing the press conference after the match, Darren Sammy said that he was very disappointed with the performance, if they keep giving chances to the opposition batsmen, they will prevail eventually. He added that his team did not show responsibility and therefore the team did not deserve to win.

“I’m very disappointed,” Darren Sammy said. If we continue to field poorly and give chances to the opposition batsmen, it will be impossible to qualify for the World Cup.

He added that because of poor fielding, Zimbabwe managed to post a total of 268, we badly need changes on the ground.

According to Darren Sammy, we have seen this happen in the past and I want this team to move forward. Today was a really bad day and it’s about taking responsibility and we didn’t do that today, so we didn’t deserve to win today.
