Big Bash League (BBL) Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf produced a phenomenal moment during Melbourne Stars’ BBL match against Sydney Thunder at Lavington Sports Oval in Albury on Saturday.

As Rauf came in to bat at number 11 with only one ball remaining in the innings, he initially opted not to wear pads, gloves or a helmet while standing at the non-striker’s end. This appears to have been their intention due to the limited time left in the game.

However, the on-field umpires intervened, insisting on ensuring his safety and thus prompting Rauf to put on his gloves and helmet. Despite this, he decided not to wear his pads, to which one commentator expressed surprise and labeled the scenario a ‘circus’ on the live broadcast.

🤣 But no gloves, pads or helmet

Rauf notably did not wear both his gloves while at the crease. His unorthodox approach bewildered Daniel Sams on the field, who was instrumental in taking two wickets and a run-out.
