Mumbai: Former India player Gautam Gambhir fell on his own board after losing to Australia in the World Test Championship final.

While the Indian fans criticized their team for their poor performance in the final of the Test Championship, former Indian cricketers also attacked the players of the Indian team.

Answering the journalist’s question in the live show, former Indian player Gautam Gambhir termed the Indian team’s defeat by Australia as a shame and said that only a few specific players in our board are given immense publicity.

He said that in other boards the team is big, for them one player is not important, but in our Indian board the team is not big only certain players are important.

He said that our players even advertise pan masala and don’t realize their status, which includes our board as well as the media.

The former Indian player said that all the stakeholders of the Indian Cricket Board promote only a few cricketers, including the media, that’s why they become stars.

He further said that some players in India have become bigger than the team. In other countries national teams are given importance but in India people are crazy about few players instead of the team.
