HomeSportsSunil Gavaskar lashed out at Virat Kohli on live broadcast

Former cricketers are criticizing Rohit Sharma’s XI for India’s defeat by Australia in the World Test Championship final.

Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar also got angry over Virat Kohli’s dismissal during the live broadcast while analyzing the match.

The host asked Sunil Gavaskar that India got three players out in two balls, especially when Virat’s wicket fell, how did he play that shot?

In response, Sunil Gavaskar said, “It was a very bad shot, it was a very ordinary shot outside the off-stump, maybe he was more worried about his half-century because it needed a run. Milestones are near.’

Sunil Gavaskar said ‘You are asking me how he did it, you should ask Virat Kohli why he played that shot. We have talked many times that if we want to win a match then we need a long innings’.

He added that Kohli talks so much about how to win a match, it requires a long innings, then how can you do that, how can you play it when the ball is outside the off-stump?

It should be noted that Virat Kohli played the ball outside the off-stump of Stoke Boland on 49 runs and caught Smith in the slip.

It should be remembered that yesterday Australia defeated India by 209 runs in the final of the ICC World Test Championship. On the last day of the final, the Indian team got out by scoring 234 runs in pursuit of the target of 444 runs. India lost 7 wickets for just 70 runs.
