Lahore: The national test squad for the two-match series against Sri Lanka has been announced.

According to ARY News, the 16-member national team for the tour of Sri Lanka has been announced, Shaheen Shah Afridi has returned to Test cricket after a year in the series.

Mohammad Hurira and Aamir Jamal will be part of the Test squad for the first time in the series against Sri Lanka. The 16-member squad includes captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Abdullah Shafiq, Abrar Ahmed, Hasan Ali.

Apart from this, Imam-ul-Haq, Muhammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Nouman Ali, Salman Ali, Agha Sarfaraz Ahmed, Saud Shakeel, Shaan Masood will be part of the national squad.

It should be noted that the national team will play a series of two Test matches against Sri Lanka in July, which is part of the World Test Championship.

The Test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is likely to start from Sunday, July 16.
