National team’s young fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has been ruled out of the Test series against Sri Lanka.

The two-Test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is part of the ICC Test Championship, the Test series will be played in July, the schedule of which will be announced by Sri Lanka Cricket soon.

However, Shaheen Afridi will take a break from the Test team ahead of the World Cup.

It should be noted that Shaheen Afridi has taken 99 wickets in 25 Test matches. He was injured while fielding during the tour of Sri Lanka last year.

Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi played his last Test match against Sri Lanka in July last year.
