Former national team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has backed Shadab Khan for the captaincy of all three formats.

During a YouTube podcast, Sarfraz Ahmed was asked which player among Shaheen Afridi, Shadab and Mohammad Rizwan has the potential to captain the national team in all three formats in the future.

Sarfraz Ahmed praised Shadab Khan’s all-round performance and said that he has the potential to captain the team.

The former captain said that Shadab Khan can perform well as a captain in ODI, T20 and Test cricket.

Sarfraz Ahmed said that the number Shadab bats at can show the best performance as captain and all-rounder in the team.

He said that in Test cricket you have to go with five bowlers, out of these five bowlers, your fifth bowler will be an all-rounder who can both bat and bowl.

Sarfraz said that whether we are talking about ODI cricket or T20 cricket, Shadab can adjust himself in all three formats.
