Asian Cricket Council has announced the schedule of Asia Cup 2023.

The Asian Cricket Council has approved the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) proposal for a hybrid model. The Asia Cup will be played in Pakistan and Sri Lanka from August 31 to September 17.

Four matches of Asia Cup will be played in Pakistan while remaining 9 matches will be played in Sri Lanka.

It should be noted that Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Afghanistan are part of the event, Sri Lanka will host all the matches of India including the final.

Earlier, there was news that India’s ‘I don’t agree’ letter regarding the Asia Cup is still intact, under which there is a fear of the hybrid hosting of the Asia Cup from the hands of the PCB, but now the schedule of the Asia Cup After the announcement, all fears have been removed.

India was of the opinion that the Indian team will neither come to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup nor play the Asia Cup in the Emirates. A meeting of some members of the Asian Cricket Council with the Indian board officials on the eve of the IPL final changed the situation, after which Sri Lanka also joined the race to host the Asia Cup 2023 at ‘short notice’.

Pakistan proposed to hold the first 4 matches of the Asia Cup in Pakistan and the remaining matches in the UAE under the hybrid model, which was rejected according to Indian media.
