The official schedule for the 2023 Asia Cup is finally out. This tournament will be played jointly in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Here is the Asia Cup 2023 schedule, including the complete list of fixtures, dates, venues and match times.

The 2023 edition of the Asia Cup will be held in the 50-over format as a precursor to the World Cup later this year. Due to the political tension between Pakistan and India, after much consideration and revision, the Asia Cup schedule has finally been announced.

It is known that the Asia Cup is being played across Pakistan and Sri Lanka, after which the matches of India will be held. However, the draft version of the final fixture list went through several revisions before the Asian Cricket Council settled on the current version.

The six teams will be divided into two groups of three with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the Super Four. The top two teams from the Super Four will then compete in the finals. Here’s how the teams are divided:

Group A: Pakistan, India, Nepal
Group B: Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka

Asia Cup 2023 Schedule: Venues
The Asia Cup will begin on August 30, a day earlier than planned in the original draft schedule. In Pakistan, four matches will be played in Multan and Lahore, while the other nine matches will be played in Sri Lanka, Kandy and Colombo.
The tournament will be hosted by Pakistan in Multan, Nepal while the final will be played at the KR Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.

The group stage match between Pakistan and India will be played on September 2 in Kandy. If both teams qualify for the Super Four, they will meet again on September 10 at the same venue.

September 6: A1 vs B2, Lahore, Pakistan, 2:30 p.m

September 9: B1 vs B2, Colombo, Sri Lanka, 3pm

September 10: A1 vs A2, Colombo, Sri Lanka, 3pm

September 12: A2 vs B1, Colombo, Sri Lanka, 3pm

September 14: A1 vs B1, Colombo, Sri Lanka, 3pm

September 15: A2 vs B2, Colombo, Sri Lanka, 3pm

September 17: Final (Super Four 1 vs Super Four 2), Colombo, Sri Lanka, 3 p.m.

If they qualify, Pakistan and India will be A1 and A2 respectively. If Nepal makes it to the Super Four above either of these two, it will take either A1 or A2.

Similarly, in Group B, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be B1 and B2 respectively, with either of them getting one spot if Afghanistan make it to the first round.
