HomeSportsReturning to Test cricket, what Ben Stokes said to Moeen Ali?

England all-rounder Moeen Ali recently retired from Test cricket and will represent England in the Ashes series.

English cricketer Moeen Ali revealed in a press conference that Ben Stokes had approached him about playing in the Ashes series to which I responded by saying ‘lol’.

ESPN Cricket Info also shared Ben Stokes’ WhatsApp post in which he asks Moeen Ali, “Ashes?”

Moeen Ali says ‘lol’ in response.

It should be noted that all-rounder Moeen Ali is all set to return to Test cricket after Jack Leach’s injury. A verbal communication from Ben Stokes was enough to convince Moeen to reconsider his retirement from Test matches.

The 35-year-old cricketer said that only Stokes could convince him, and initially, I thought Stokes was joking but when I heard the news about Leitch’s injury, I had a conversation with him.

It should be noted that Moeen Ali retired from Test cricket after England’s series against India in September 2021, after which he has not played a first-class match.

It should be remembered that 35-year-old Moeen Ali has scored 2914 runs and taken 195 wickets in 67 Test matches.
