Hyder Ali scored his maiden century for the county after a phenomenal performance for Derbyshire in the County Championship.
After Yorkshire scored 353 in their first innings, Hyder and du Plouy produced a brilliant batting display as Derbyshire collapsed to 17-4 in their second innings.
He thwarted the Yorkshire attack and built an unbeaten fifth-wicket partnership, which also broke the record of 231 runs off 311 balls.

Derbyshire’s decision to send Hyder Ali to the lower ranks proved correct. Haider took on the spinners, especially Dominic Bess, who hit sixes and took the pressure off the team with an aggressive approach.
Haider showed skill and determination to score a brilliant century while also maintaining the scoring rate.
