Pakistan chose to hit first after winning the toss at Dubai Ricket Stadium.

India and Pakistan have met 135 times in ODI, with India having head-to-head record of 57-73. There were five matches, but no results. India has won the last six ODIs between the two teams since 2018.

In the Champions Trophy, India and Pakistan face each other five times at their first meeting in 2004. Their most recent encounter was in the 2017 final, when Pakistan won by 180 runs. India drags Pakistan from head to head in 2-3 with the Champions Trophy.

India launched its campaign with a strong victory over Bangladesh. This is thanks to Shubman Gill’s great knock on 101* run and Mohammed Shami’s great five-wicket haul. India easily chased its 229-run target, reaching 231/4 in 46.3 overs.

However, Pakistan struggled with the opener against New Zealand, missing 60 runs in 321 runs.

Pakistan was bowled at 260 with 47.2 overs. New Zealand’s Tom Latham and Will Young both scored for centuries, leading the team to 320/5 in 50 overs.
