England’s pacer Jofra Archer etched his name into the record book during ICC Champions Trophy 2025, becoming the fastest bowler from his country to reach 50 ODI wickets.

Archer achieved the feat in his 30th match, surpassing James Anderson’s previous 31-game record.

The 29-year-old collided with Afghanistan in Group B, England, at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

He hit the fifth over and then rejected Ramamarla Garbaz before removing just four balls. Archer continued his fiery spell, sending Ramat Shah back to the pavilion, becoming the first English bowler to take three wickets within the power play of the Champions Trophy history.
