Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) defending champions Comilla Victorians have successfully retained the services of Pakistan wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan for the much-awaited 2024 edition of the tournament.
The announcement was made through the social media platform ‘X’, creating excitement among cricket lovers and fans.
Rizwan’s impressive performances in the last season of the BPL undoubtedly contributed to the decision of the Comilla Victorians management.
In the previous edition of the above tournament, the right-handed batsman had scored 351 runs in 10 matches at an average of 50.14 and a strike rate of 126.25. He demonstrated his consistency and skill, scoring four half-centuries, making him a key player for the team.
Comilla Victorians, known for their strong cricket presence, emerged victorious in the last BPL season, defeating Sylhet Strikes in a thrilling encounter to win the championship. Their winning performance helped them win the prestigious BPL trophy for an impressive fourth time.
It is noteworthy that the tenth edition of Bangladesh Premier League is expected to be held from January 10 to February 2024.
