HomeSportsBabar, Imam set new partnership record for Pakistan in ODIs

Simply put, the teamwork between Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and left-handed opener Imam-ul-Haq in ODI cricket has been stupendous over the years.

They have scored a lot of runs together and have now surpassed the partnership record held by two of Pakistan’s greatest batsmen, Mohammad Yousuf and Younis Khan.

The duo achieved the feat during the second ODI against Afghanistan in Hambantota as they shared a 108-run partnership after losing the in-form Fakhar Zaman early in the innings.

Babar and Imam have now completed 100-run partnerships in ODIs on ten occasions, thereby surpassing the record previously held by Yousuf and Younis, who shared 100-run partnerships nine times.
