HomeMobileXiaomi 14 vs OnePlus 11: Which Android is better?

Xiaomi blew us all out of the water with the announcement of two new mobile phones, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro.

It’s been a great year for mobile phone enthusiasts; Apple, Google, OnePlus and Xiaomi have introduced many new devices. With more options on the market than ever before, it’s become much more difficult to figure out which device works best for you.

With this in mind, we’ll break down some of the most critical differences between the OnePlus 11 and Xiaomi 14 so you can figure out what your next upgrade should be. It is worth noting that, unlike the OnePlus 11, we have not yet reviewed the Xiaomi 14, but we can use the published specifications and information to understand the most important aspects of each phone.

Higher brightness on Xiaomi 14

Xiaomi has equipped its latest handset with a 6.36-inch 1200×2670 display, which the company claims can reach up to 3000 nits of brightness. The C8 uses light-emitting material and has Dolby Vision and HDR support, which will ensure accurate color reproduction when watching supported media content. Thanks to LTPO technology, the variable refresh rate can jump from 1Hz to 120Hz; This is ideal for smooth scrolling as well as battery saving.

OnePlus 11, on the other hand, comes with a 6.7-inch Quad HD + (3216 × 1440) resolution and a dynamic refresh rate that can switch between 1Hz and 120Hz. In our review, we note that the screen can be used in direct sunlight. Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10+ support enabled impressive dynamic range on supported titles when watching supported movies on Netflix, and color reproduction was generally lifelike.

Comparison between Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

One of the most impressive aspects of the Xiaomi 14 is that it comes with the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, inherited from the now iconic Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Xiaomi claims that this chip will provide superior performance and higher power efficiency than its predecessor. This will be powered by Xiaomi Loop LiquidCool technology, which aims to provide users with a stable and comfortable experience when performing intensive operations such as gaming or high-definition streaming. We can’t comment on the performance of the Xiaomi 14 until we put it to the test, but it looks like it could be the best option for those interested in raw power.

OnePlus 11 comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which works very well in all areas. Even when browsing media-heavy apps like Facebook and Instagram, apps load instantly with no lag or lag. It had a bad habit of heating up during gaming sessions, making it less appealing to avid mobile gamers.

Both phones have fast charging feature

Both Xiaomi and OnePlus have put a lot of thought into the charging capabilities of these phones as they both have fast charging support. Xiaomi 14 comes with a 4,610mAh cell with HyperCharge wireless charging support at 50W and 90W HyperCharge wired charging support.

Meanwhile, OnePlus 11 comes with a 5000mAh battery cell. During our review process, we found that it can charge from 0 to 100% in under 30 minutes, lasting up to two days on a single charge (depending on usage), thanks to SuperVOOC 100W fast charging support.

Xiaomi hasn’t yet given us any charging times for its newest phone, but the OnePlus 11 may be a better choice for those who forget to charge their devices regularly.

More color options for Xiaomi 14

The color of a phone may not have an impact on performance, but it does mean a lot in terms of aesthetics. Xiaomi gave us four options when it comes to its newest phone; these include Jade Green, Black, White, and Snow Mountain Pink, which look very diverse.

The OnePlus 11 pales in comparison, featuring just two simple colorways; Infinite Green and Titan Black. These colors are simple and mature but may be too limiting for anyone interested in lighter color options.
