Owners of the original Google Pixel Watch have received an update that brings the long-awaited sync update.

The latest feature drop includes a simple but necessary update to sync Bedtime Mode from Pixel Phones to the original Google Pixel Watch.

Amazon has a limited-time deal on the 40mm Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 that beats its Black Friday 2023 offer, making it the cheapest since its launch in 2021.

So if you need to go to bed and you switch your phone to Bedtime Mode or Do Not Disturb, you won’t need to enable that mode on your wearable to prevent those notifications from arriving.

This feature was already enabled on the new Pixel Watch 2 released in October, but now it’s coming to OG via a server-side update for the Pixel Watch app. 9to5Google.

“When your watch and phone are connected via Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb and Bedtime modes are synced between your devices,” reads the Notifications section of the Pixel Watch companion app.

The Pixel Watch is slowly gaining some feature parity with the second-generation model. In November, the watch face designs of the second generation model were presented with an update. The original Pixel Watch was a bit misleading, and the second one has yet to be a huge success either.

We gave the first-generation model a 3.5-star review out of a possible five stars, praising the clean Wear OS operating system with Fitbit capabilities and vibrant display, but not much else. We complained about subpar fitness tracking, battery drain issues, and problematic strap replacement.

Our reviewer concluded: “The Google Pixel Watch is a very good showcase in many respects for a pure, sweeter version of Wear OS, but we don’t think that’s too unreasonable for a smartwatch that’s been talked about for so long. Things like battery and exercise tracking “We expect the features to be at least on par with cheaper Android smartwatches, but unfortunately that’s not the case here.”
