Prince William is set to return to New York City in September, and will have a full schedule when he lands in the Empire State.

The Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit will be held on September 19 during New York Climate Week. “William will have a very busy schedule and he is very much looking forward to his trip across the pond,” the insider added.

The Prince of Wales, 41, has not been to New York City for an official visit since 2014. He was scheduled to return during last year’s Innovation Summit, which was also held in the Big Apple during September. However, he canceled his appearance in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II’s death at the age of 96. He died of natural causes just a week before the event.

“Protecting the environment was a cause close to my grandmother’s heart and I know she will be delighted to hear about this event and the support you all are giving to our Earth Shot finalists, the next generation of environmental pioneers,” William said in a video message Played in the previous year’s summit clash. “Together in this room are the people and organizations who will help us achieve Earthshot’s mission: to repair, restore and rejuvenate our planet within this current decade.”

William established the Earthshot Prize in 2020 with The Royal Foundation, which rewards those who find, develop or scale up groundbreaking solutions to climate change. The organization aims to reward solutions that act fast – ideally creating a stable environment by 2030.

But september summitThe first in line to the British throne will help reveal the 15 finalists for this year’s big prize and present their groundbreaking climate solutions. William and Mike Bloomberg (Global Advisor to Earthshot winners and Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General on Climate Ambition and Solutions) are expected to address guests during the special presentation.

The 15 finalists announced in September will wait anxiously for two months to find out which of them will be named five Earthshot Prize laureates. The third annual award ceremony is scheduled to be held in Singapore on 7 November. Each of the five winners will be awarded £1 million to further their work in stopping climate change.

William attended the Earthshot Awards ceremony in Boston last year with his wife princess kate, They met with Mayor Wu and attended a Boston Celtics game, before walking down the green carpet together.
