The Walt Disney Company announced Tuesday that a new ‘Star Wars’ The film will hit cinemas in 2026 but said it will postpone the release of the next three installments in James Cameron’s blockbuster ‘Avatar’ series.

The studio also pushed back the scheduled release dates for ‘Vajra’ And ‘blade’Two Marvel movies that have been disrupted by the ongoing Hollywood writers’ strike.

‘Avatar’ Producer Jon Landau wrote on Twitter that the filmmakers needed more time to complete the third, fourth and fifth installments in the science-fiction series set on the fictional moon of Pandora.

‘Avatar 3’Originally scheduled to launch in December 2024, is now slated for release in December 2025. ‘Avatar 4’ is scheduled for December 2029 and ‘Avatar 5’ for December 2031.

New one ‘Star Wars’ The film was set for a December 2026 release, one of two in the space saga that would be released that year.

‘blade’ The Mahershala Ali starrer was postponed for five months to February 2025. ‘Vajra’Which was earlier scheduled for July 2024, was shifted to December 2024.

a marvel movie, a ‘Deadpool’ The sequel, starring Ryan Reynolds, will be released earlier than expected. It will hit the theaters in May 2024 instead of November 2024.
